FAQ

FAQ

Q: How long should the hair be before I can get a wax?

A: We recommend that the hair is ¼ - ½ inch long so that the wax has something to adhere to. Rule of thumb if you can’t pinch it, then the wax can’t grip it.

Q: Can I wax during that time of the month?

A: Yes, its okay to get wax. We just ask that you were a tampon while being serviced. You will be a little more sensitive during this time so please avoid caffeine and take a couple of pain-relievers an hour before your appointment.

-Please note that you maybe sensitive the week prior and after your menstrual cycle.

Q: Can I wax while I am pregnant?

A: Of course! We will make sure we accommodate you in the best way possible. You maybe more sensitive in the bikini area due to the blood flow in the area but with the help of speed and a few breathing techniques we will be finish before you know it even happened.

Q: How often should I get a wax?

A: I recommend every 4-6 weeks. Please do not surpass 6 weeks if you will like to keep the hair growing at the same rate.

Q: How long does it take before all the hair is on the same growth cycle?

A: It usually takes 4 consecutive treatments before all the hair is on the same growth cycle.

Q: Should I exfoliate the day of my wax?

A: Yes, I recommend exfoliating the day of your service. Exfoliating the day of service helps lift the hair off the skin making the removal of hair more effective.

Q:Is it okay to shave in between waxes?

A: I recommend that you do not shave in between waxes. It defeats the purpose of getting wax. It’s like you’re having to start all over again and I am pretty sure you would not want your hard work and dedication to the process to just go down the drain.

Q: Can I get a wax while taking Accutane?

A: No, you must discontinue its use for one year or more prior to service. If not it can result in pulling, ripping and burning of the skin when utilized with wax.
